Bruce T. Kuo, MD, FACC, FSCAI, RPVI, is a board-certified cardiologist specializing in heart, vascular, and venous care at the CardioVascular Institute of South Texas, located just outside San Antonio in Helotes, Texas.
Dr. Kuo earned his medical degree from the University of the East - Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, Inc. College of Medicine in Quezon City, Philippines. He then performed an internal medicine residency at the Cleveland Clinic Florida in Weston, Florida, followed by a move to Kentucky where he completed a cardiovascular fellowship at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
As his desire for a specialty within cardiology grew, Dr. Kuo went on to train in cardiac computed tomography at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and completed an advanced fellowship at the prestigious Memorial Hermann Heart & Vascular Institute at the Texas Medical Center in Houston. Dr. Kuo is also certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology.
Dedicated to educating patients on cardiac health and prevention while being known for his clear and concise medical explanations, Dr. Kuo takes the time to ensure his patients understand any diagnoses or instructions relevant to them. Dr. Kuo speaks both English and Chinese (Mandarin) and when not working with patients, enjoys the outdoor activities that San Antonio has to offer.
