About Dr. Rambod

Dr. Mehdi Rambod, is an interventional cardiologist and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Rambod’s scope of practice includes minimally invasive and catheter-based therapies for coronary artery disease, peripheral arterial and vein diseases, and heart valve disorders.

After completing residency in internal medicine, Dr. Rambod pursued further training in cardiovascular diseases, as well as combined coronary and structural heart interventional cardiology training, both at the University of Vermont Medical Center, where he also served as chief interventional cardiology fellow. He then joined the Department of Medicine at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons as clinical instructor-in-medicine; and pursued a dedicated year of Advanced Endovascular fellowship training at Center for Vascular Interventional Therapy (CIVT) at Columbia University Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY.

As former research fellow at Los Angeles Biomedical Research Institute at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Dr. Rambod extensively studied chronic disease states including coronary artery disease and coronary artery calcification, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and chronic kidney disease, and their associated malnutrition and inflammation, as well as cardiopulmonary exercise physiology and rehabilitation. Dr. Rambod has authored and co-authored more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications, book chapters, and abstract presentations in national and international scientific conferences.

Dr. Rambod is a Fellow of American College of Cardiology (ACC) as well as Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI). He is a current member of American Medical Association (AMA) and American Heart Association/American Stroke Association (AHA/ASA), and former member of American College of Physicians, American Society of Nephrology, American Physiological Society, American Thoracic Society, and European Respiratory Society.
